Sometimes in the winter, after all of the Christmas cards are finished, the confirmations have been sent and any other important resort tasks have been done, we get time for a hobby (when we’re not shoveling snow!). Last spring I started 2 baby quilts for a new great niece or nephew and got interrupted by work. I am now in the process of finishing them. At least now I know that the pink one is for Adalene born May 29th (yes, it’s a late gift) and the other is for the baby boy scheduled for March. As with any project around the house or resort we always have plenty of help. (not necessarily “good” help) The cats, Simon & Sasha seem to have a 6th sense for when there is something being done that they don’t need to be a part of!
Simon gets right in there and takes possession – everything is his!
Sasha is very patient and can sit for many minutes before she decides she needs to “help”
After saying “no, you can’t be here” too many times on the first quilt, I decided to give them their own piece of fabric that I could cover the baby quilt with while I am stitching.
Simon is very quick and follows the needle and thread with his 20/15 vision!
Sasha seems to like both of them and is quite comfortable.
Putting the finishing touches on the quilt. Sasha is sticking with me until it’s finished!
