Last night I didn’t think we would have a sunset to take a picture of so wasn’t paying attention. On the way to the kitchen I looked out the window and this is what I saw. God came through for us at the last minute. 🙂
Fun from the long Minnesota winter
“Once upon a time” in the long winter of 2010/2011 we must have lost our minds- or at least the capacity to think rationally. The story goes like this: We were channel surfing and came across a Peter Yarrow Special on TPT (Twin Cities Public Television) We don’t watch TPT too often, but […]
Thursday night sunset at Dickerson’s Resort
As I was watching the sky around 8:15 I thought “no way we’ll have anything to take a picture of at the resort tonight.” Then Bob came in to get the camera and we got these pictures of the sunset!
Tuesday night Sunset
Tuesday was an interesting weather day at the resort. The forecasters had said that we would have a high of 88 degrees. In the morning it was 57 and cloudy and we commented that it would be doubtful that it would get that warm.Ă‚Â Then the sun broke out and the humidity showed up […]
Monday at Dickerson’s Resort
What a great day yesterday was at the resort. Little did we know that the dock crew from 4 Seasons Lawn and Beach would show up. We have been patiently waiting. The weather has not been helpful to them either. In addition to all of the cold, rainy, windy weather we have been having, […]
Sunday night sky
Capturing sunset pictures at Dickerson’s Resort has become quite a challenge with all of the clouds and rain. Last night was looking like we wouldn’t get anything so we started snapping pictures at 7:17 just to be sure. It’s really interesting to see how much the sky can change in an hour. […]
Saturday night sky
Saturday started out looking like it was going to be another drizzly day, but it turned out great! We did have a little rain early in the morning, then overcast until about 10:30. Then the sun broke out and the temperature shot up to 66 degrees! It felt sooo good! In the morning […]
Thursday at the resort
Yesterday morning when we woke up we had had seven tenths of an inch of rain. Much more than we wanted. I continued to drizzle throughout the morning, but had quit by about 10:30. We had an 8:00 breakfast meeting with our insurance men at the Westwood Cafe in Spicer. At 1:30 we had […]
Here’s what we’ve been up to.
Bob disconnecting cabin #5 kitchen sink Here’s a look at some of the things that happened at the resort last week. A couple of weeks ago we decided to put new counter tops in cabins #2 & #5. We received some really nice counter tops from friends who were getting new, that if cut […]
The Long Minnesota Winter!
The long Minnesota winter keeps rolling along! Last Tuesday night the cabins and resort were blanketed with about 9 more inches of heavy, wet snow! Even our tractor/snow blower is tired of winter. It has aches and pains and really would like to be finished.Ă‚Â The tractor is eagerly waiting the snow blower beingĂ‚Â taken […]
