The sunset at Lake Florida looked identical on Monday as what we had on Sunday. Changed locations on the beach to take the picture!
4-8-12 The sunset
Easter Sunday – We left home at 5:50 for sunrise services at Calvary. After the service the youth served breakfast and then I was off to practice with the choir. The choir sang at all 3 services. It was a wonderful morning at church! At 1:00 we went to be with Bob’s family at his […]
Lake Florida Sunset 4-6-12
Today was Good Friday. We went to church at noon as we do every year. It’s always a very good service. After the service we had a quick lunch at Culver’s and then went back to the resort to work. At sunset time we were exhausted and ready to quit for the day.
Sunrise-Sunset at Dickerson’s Resort 4-4-12
I looked out the dining room window this morning and could see that it was going to be a beautiful sunrise. We can get a fairly good view of the sunrise from cabin #12, but I jumped in my car to look for something even better! This is what I saw when I came over […]
Lake Florida Sunset 4-3-12
Bob went to St. Cloud today to continue a project we’re working on. I don’t remember exactly what I did -Â moved some sand on the beach, washed some cabin decks, put a coat of varnish on the window casings for cabin #7, etc. Getting the pictures of the sunset was probably the most important […]
And the beach goes on at Lake Florida
The clean up of the leaves that blew in continues. Here’s another picture of Bob cleaning the leaves out of the lake and off of the beach. We hauled the leaves to the garage apron of cabin #13. Normally, they could go right into the trailer, but it was being used for a different project. They […]
April 1st – no fooling!
Bob left at 7:15 to drive to Mpls and work in the Kandiyohi County booth and promote tourism in our county. On the way he stopped and picked up Gordie Bloomquist to help him. While Bob was working at the show, I took care of all of our church obligations. In the afternoon I put […]
A Little Trip 3-26-12
Today we had 2 “sightings” First, our favorite loon, the one who comes first and leaves last each fall was here to see us. When I went to get the mail I noticed that there were a couple of blooms on the Dianthus I had left last fall. What a breath of spring! A couple […]
Let’s put the dock in!
The ice went off Lake Florida yesterday so today’s first project is to put the gas dock in. Because the sand is pushed up so much it is going to be a challenge, but we are up to it! Just so you know, Bob didn’t do all of that work by himself. The 2 of […]
A Big Day at the Lake-3-18-12
When we got up this morning Bob didn’t think this would be the Big Day. That’s the day the ice goes off. When we got home from church there was quite a bit of open water. An hour later the wind came up and suddenly there was even less ice! Bob went to the neighbors […]
