Wednesday morning before 8:00, Wade & Greg arrived to start digging the footings for cabin #9. Digging the footings in an existing cabin is a little more work than starting from scratch. There are water, electric, propane and sewer lines below and around the cabin that all need to be watched and gently moved during […]
10-22-13 The backhoe & the sunset
Late in the afternoon on Tuesday, the backhoe was delivered to the resort by Swenson & Sons Construction who will be digging the footings for the cabin. The footings for the cabin will be dug tomorrow! Yeah! We’ve never been able to take a sunset picture here before. Sunset minus cabin #9! Tomorrow is going […]
Cleaning under cabin #9 deck
On October 8th Bob told me that Garvin or Eric Marcus of Marcus Building Movers would be here on Thursday to talk about lifting cabin #9! Sure enough, Eric showed up on Thursday at 4:35 and said they could be here on Monday or Tuesday! We have a lot of work to do! I immediately […]

We’re a “little nutty” at Lake Florida!

5-16 Lake Florida Sunset
The thing we like best about the ice being off of Lake Florida is seeing the reflections in the water. Tonight we had another great sunset! This is a sure sign of spring-the leaves are coming out on the trees! 🙂 Come watch the sunsets with us!

2 Loons at sunset
Just in the nick of time, a few clouds parted and we got to see that the sun really is there. 2 loons came to visit and sing to us. You can barely see them in the pink on Lake Florida. Life on the lake is great!
5-8 Leaky waders!
Having the ice go off of Lake Florida is one of the best signs of spring. This year, we have waited & waited & waited! Putting in the docks is an exciting time too. Being able to walk out and look at the beatiful water is so much fun. We have to wait for […]
5-7 A beautiful day at Dickerson’s!
We woke up this morning in great anticipation that the ice would be gone from Lake Florida. It was not, but we think “today is the day!” There are many flowers still to be planted and with the sun shining it is a beautiful day to do it! This is a picture from the hill […]
