Maddy came to Dickerson’s Resort for the first time in 1997 when she was just 10 months old. She came all the way from South Dakota to Minnesota with her mom and dad, grandma and grandpa and aunt Kari. Maddy has had a fishing pole in her hand since a very young age. She really loves going out with granddad in his “decked out” fishing boat and the competition between her brother and cousins.
When she was 5 years old she caught a 21″ Northern off the end of the dock with her Tweety Bird fishing pole. She was very proud of her fish and made her Grandfather clean it so she could eat it for dinner! (And she did eat it!)
Maddy is now 14, in 8th grade and is very busy with school and other activities. She loves to play basketball & soccer and has achieved her Black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Maddy is involved in oral interpretation and loves to socialize with her friends.
Last year while they were at the resort Granddad took her shopping and Maddy got a new “pink fishing pole”. (Definitely not an “Ugly Stick”)
